Spring’s New Lip Looks

New season, new lip looks from the catwalk. So what better time to indulge in your own colour switch up? There’s one out there for everyone so when it comes to choosing yours, ignore the rules and go with what you love. We’ve trawled through the latest beauty trends and cherry picked our favourites for spring.

We love this deeper shade of nude, which not only suits most skin tones but looks gorgeous next to a bronze eye look and slightly sun-kissed skin. Start with a lip liner one shade darker than your lipstick for clear definition.

You want it to be very subtle though, so once you’ve drawn around your lips, dab the line with your finger to blur the edges.

Once you’ve applied your liquid lip, mix a tiny amount in with your blusher using your fingers to tie the look together.

The vibrant red lip at the spring/summer Max Mara show perhaps wouldn’t have stood out as much without its gorgeous velvet finish.

Whilst a gloss adds glamour, a matte texture often makes a bold colour like this look more wearable for daytime, especially when teamed with minimal eye makeup.

In preparation for a matte lip, always make sure your lips are well-hydrated and free of any flaky skin.

To apply, start from the middle and work your way outwards, going all the way up to the lip line. Blot after the first layer then apply a second to make sure the colour stays put.

This pinky-nude lip with a hint of shimmer completed Adeam’s spring/summer elegant collection perfectly.

We love the pearly balm lip finish – you can build on it if you want more pigment or shimmer, or leave it as one layer for subtlety.

It’s the go-to trend for those craving something simple, but oh-so pretty.

Her matte pink for the Martin Margiela show set the beauty world abuzz.

This kind of shade will look stunning on all skin tones and will brighten the most tired of complexions.
