Braced for some weird diet and excessive exercise activity? Unbrace yourself.
The keys that make this Cellu-Lite Plan work are do-able for all and slip easily into most lifestyles. It’s built on these simple building blocks:

DIET:

High in protein, low in carbohydrate, with plenty of water

WHY?

Food high in sugar and sodium – so processed food, ‘white’ carbohydrates like pasta, bread and potatoes, and sugar-rich fruits – are known as ‘hydrophilic’ because they encourage water retention in the body. Protein, your new BF, is the opposite: it repels water by promoting its elimination through urine. Protein also helps to streamline the figure without diminishing muscle or skin tone because both are made up of proteins.

WHAT?

Good forms of protein are lean meat, fish, eggs, natural yoghurt, cottage cheese, nuts and seeds. For vegetarians, food like tofu and seitan made from soya and wheat are high enough in protein to substitute for meat, fish and eggs, as is tempeh, soya steaks, soya milk and soy yoghurt.

WHEN?

Try to eat some form of protein with every meal.

ACTIVITY:

Up to 10,000 steps a day, done however you please

WHY?

Being active promotes the lymph, your body’s natural waste disposal, which only moves when you move. So while getting fitter is a bonus by-product of increased activity, the main reason we ask you to get your steps in – some way, some how – is to promote your lymph and eliminate trapped fluid.

WHAT?

Anything that gets you moving and – importantly – that you enjoy, so you keep doing it. Walking, swimming and running fast are great ways to pump the lymph, but Pilates, yoga and barrecore are also excellent because in targeting problem areas they encourage faster removal of waste trapped around fat cells.

WHEN?

Ideally throughout the day, so your lymph gets regularly pumped: walk an extra bus stop (or two), take the stairs over the elevator, try some exercises in front of the TV – anything that keeps your lymph ticking over.

PRODUCTS:

WHY?

For the same reason as being active – to promote the lymph and encourage trapped waste to be metabolised and eliminated.
